Lawn Services:
Feel confident that your program is designed for North Carolina soils, turf types, and the problems that are associated with growing fescue and warm season turf in this area. Our six application process will provide your turf with all of its nutritional needs, as well as controlling broadleaf weeds and crabgrass
Additional Services:
• Fungicides - There are seven different funguses that can affect your lawn. The most common in this area is Brown Patch, which can cause havoc on a fescue lawn in a short period of time. This disease usually activates between May and August, so be on the look out, for it. Or if the lawn just starts to look odd to you, make sure to contact your LawmSmith and we will assess the situation and teach you how to identify disease in your lawn. Applications typically control the spread of the fungus for 25-28 days. Preventative applications are more effective than curative ones, so ask about a Full preventative fungicide program for your lawn.
• Grub Control - Grubs in this area can damage your lawn twice yearly. Preventative applications are made in the spring and the fall. Damage can occur rapidly, so if the lawn suddenly deteriorates in the spring or fall, call your LawnSmith and we will assess the situation and teach you how to find grubs in your lawn.
• Fire Ant Control - Fire Ants are becoming increasingly invasive in our area. Luckily, there are several options available to control fire ants on your entire property. Currently available products are low dose, and very target specific to the fire ant. BE SURE you don’t have a fire ant problem, because an estimated 1% of the population will have a severe allergic reaction to their sting. And your CHILDREN and PETS really do not stand a chance against them. Seeing some of those unsightly mounds in the yard? Call your LawnSmith.
• Insect Control - Available as needed. Your LawnSmith will contact you if any insect is observed during a visit, or call if you have an insect problem.
• Landscape Bed Weed Control - Available anytime of the year, this product will control annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in your beds for 4-5 months per application.
• Nutsedge Control - Included with inclusive programs, it is important to apply this product as soon as nutsedge emerges. We will let you know if a treatment for this is needed, or call as soon as you spot it.
• Grassy Weed Control - From crabgrass, to Bermuda and poa annua, it normally takes a specialty application to control these weeds.
• Aeration and Seeding - Warm Season Grass (Bermuda and Zoysia) need aeration in the late spring, and never need seeding. Fescue, however, needs both. Heavy clay soils and the toil that the summer heat takes on fescue dictate that this service be done every fall.
